The Automove 400 is a high speed computer controlled fluid dispensing system.

The Automove 400 is built around the Automove series 100 X-Y positioning table. The Automove 400 can be used in many different applications. Each application is different and requires some experimentation to determine the optimum operation conditions for any given application. The Automove 400 was designed to accurately dispense solder mask, solder paste or SMT adhesives on printed circuit boards. It can also effectively dispense a variety of other fluids like epoxies, potting compounds and RTV silicones on a variety of substrates.

The four main subsystems integrated into the Automove 400:

• The positioning mechanics
• The fluid and pneumatics system
• The intelligent firmware, Automove Command Language(ACL)
• Easymove or Fluidmove programming software

The positioning system consists of the XYZ mechanics. The XY table is based on the high-speed cable driven Automove 100 XY system. The Z rack is a modular rack and pinion design. The fluid and pneumatic system consists of the air regulation, the dispensing valve and the material reservoir.

The intelligent firmware resides in the electronics package. The description of the ACL commands are given in the ACL reference manual, however, you are not required to use the ACL commands. The programming software is a menu driven application program, which will run on an IBM PC or compatible computer. The software presents an English word format for programming the Automove 400.
