Welcome to the Homepage of the SMTA Binghamton University Student Chapter. The student chapter is a confluence of the activities of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA), Binghamton University (BU), Systems Science and Industrial Engineering Department (SSIE) at BU and the Electronics Manufacturing Research and Services (EMRS) group.

The chapter holds bi-weekly meetings in which students and leading industry practitioners present the results of their  research and their perspective of the industry developments. This website will hold up-to-date information on the proceedings of the student chapter including the activities within the campus, participation in SMTA sponsored events and other relevant information for the students. Additionally, abstracts and presentations from past events are also accessible through this website.
